A Furphy isn’t just a crisp, delicious beer brewed in Geelong. It’s a tall tale. A yarn that’s hard to believe.
Like the one about the delivery truck driver who got stuck…but ended up selling a loads of lager and grabbing global headlines. Now that’s a Furphy.
Working with installation artist James Dive, we jammed the visual Furphy in an alleyway to puzzle passers-by. Was it Australia’s worst driver? A prank by aliens? Or just a clever marketing stunt?
As for how the truck really got there, we just hired a crane. Or is that another Furphy?
Actually yep, that’s exactly what we did.
